If you don't have renters' insurance that includes coverage for unintentional property damage, you will be asked to carry SF Shannon's "Tenant Liability Insurance" for a nominal fee of $9.50 per month. This insurance covers accidental damages to the apartment and the building, but not to your personal possessions.
